Venue Specialties is an entertainment-focused, general contractor, dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and innovative technical solutions for a wide range of studio, motion lab, music club, theater and arena scenarios. Specializing in the design, installation, inspection and maintenance of Audio-visual and American Disabilities Act compliance equipment systems, Venue Specialties supports film, concerts, theatrical performances, corporate events, festivals, and other live entertainment experiences by ensuring the venues you manage are safe and fully operational. We also provide custom-tailored training and manlift operator certification for your team, thorough documented theatrical rigging system inspections and maintenance.

Our operations are overseen by onsite supervision that holds current ETCP, IRATA and SPRAT certifications, and in addition to that commitment to safety, all our techs are current on their OSHA certification training.

Career Milestones

First Show Worked

November 1991 - Alabama performed at the Yakima SunDome. Our crew had not yet become SCS Production Group Inc.

1st Gig As Production Rigger

The summer of 1995 in the Sheraton Hotel - Seattle. Employed by the Pacific Northwest Theatre Association.

Voted Into The Swine Rigging Team

In the summer of 1997, at the Gorge Amphitheater. I was voted onto the "Swine" rigteam. This began my mentorship by Jeff Renon.

Touring Production Rigger for the UniverSoul Circus

In May of 2001, I flew into Brooklyn NY to take on the UniverSoul Circus.

Managed My First Rigging Team

In 2005, for Event Resounce Managment, LLC. I collaborated in the development of an arena rigging team that I managed for several years.

PSAV Regional Rigging Manager

Hired In late '08, as the PNW Regional Rigging Services Manager. An amazing opportunity to develop a new team whilst supported by safety-minded management.
